Account security settings Admin
The settings section offers essential security features, such as Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), to help safeguard your account and enhance your overall security. MFA adds an extra layer of protection that goes beyond just a password, significantly reducing the risk of unauthorized access.
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
To enhance the security of administrator accounts, DrillBit has implemented Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). Enabling MFA is a simple step that greatly strengthens your account's security.
Steps to enable MFA
- Log in to DrillBit as an administrator.
- Navigate to the Settings section on the left sidebar of the application.
- In the Multi-Factor Authentication section, you will see the option to enable MFA.
- Toggle the switch to enable MFA.
- A pop-up window appears: “Are you sure you want to activate Multi-Factor Authentication?” — select Yes to confirm.
Login process after MFA is enabled
After MFA is enabled, administrators first enter their password when logging in. Following successful password entry, an OTP is sent from DrillBit to the administrator's registered email address. The administrator must then enter this OTP on the login page to complete authentication.
