The Admin Dashboard in DrillBit serves as the central hub for overseeing and managing an organization's use of the platform. It provides a detailed view of the instructors and students created by the admin, along with their submissions. With widgets like Submissions Overview, Similarity Ranges, Top Students, Account Validity, Trend Analysis, Document Types, and Departments, the dashboard offers a clear and comprehensive overview for smooth, efficient operations.

Opening the Admin Dashboard

1. Access the DrillBit application. On the login page, enter your username and password to sign in.
2. Confirm that you are logged in as an admin.
3. Upon login, you will be directed to the admin dashboard by default.

Features of the Admin Dashboard

Instructors

Displays the number of instructors the admin has registered under the license compared to the total allocated by DrillBit. It helps monitor instructor allocation and ensure compliance with license limits.

Students

Monitor the student registrations completed by the admin under the license and compare them with the total allocation provided by DrillBit to ensure efficient usage.

Submissions

Highlights the number of submissions made by both instructors and students under your administration, showing both the total submissions used and those allocated by DrillBit.

Submissions Overview

Track monthly submission activity for both instructors and students under your account. Provides insights into submission patterns across different months. Admin can download the month-wise graph of the selected year in SVG, PNG, or CSV formats. A Year-Wise View also lets you analyse data from past years in the same formats through the dropdown menu on the graph.

Similarity Ranges

Categorizes submissions based on detected similarity percentages, providing administrators with a clear overview of how many documents fall into each similarity range. This helps in assessing the originality of submissions and spotting any documents that may have significant similarity or errors. Available for download in SVG, PNG, and CSV formats via the hamburger menu on the graph.

Top Students

Identifies and displays the students with the lowest overall performance percentages based on their submission data. The system calculates each student's overall average percentage based on all their submissions; the four students with the lowest averages are listed with their names, departments, and average percentages.

A graph displays student counts categorized by percentage ranges: 0–10%, 11–40%, 41–60%, 61–100%, and DocError.

Account Validity

Displays the validity of the license in terms of total duration and remaining days until expiration, so administrators always know the current status of their license and can act before it expires. You can download the account validity report in SVG, PNG, and CSV formats through the hamburger menu on the graph. Select the ‘Renew your account’ link to send a renewal request to DrillBit support.

Trend Analysis

Displays the percentage distribution of similar work and own work across all submissions under the account, helping administrators understand the extent of similarity within submissions. Exportable in SVG, PNG, and CSV from the hamburger menu on the graph.

Document Types

A pie chart visualizes the various types of documents submitted, including thesis, dissertation, article, and others. Enables administrators to analyse the diversity of submissions and identify the most frequently used types. Downloadable in SVG, PNG, and CSV.

Departments

Allows administrators to view submission activity based on departments, such as EC, CS, IS, and others. A pie chart helps identify which departments have higher or lower submission activity. Downloadable in SVG, PNG, and CSV from the hamburger menu on the graph.
