Pulling a report

Institution first, then report type, users and dates — then the results on screen with a CSV export.

Reports

Reports pulls submission or folder activity for any institution in your consortium, shows it on screen, and exports it as CSV.

Choose the institution first. When the page opens, Choose Reports is empty — opening it shows only No options. That is not a fault. The report types are loaded from whichever institution you select in the Institution list at the top right, so nothing below it works until that is set.

Building the report

  1. Institution list — pick the institution, or use the search icon beside it to find one in a long list.
  2. Choose Reports — now offers two options:
    • folders — folder activity: how many folders exist and how much sits in each.
    • submissions — the documents themselves.
  3. Choose Usersall for the whole institution, or a single email address for one person.
  4. Choose From Date and Choose To Date — both required.
  5. View & Download.

Reading the results

The results open on screen before anything is saved. A submissions report lists Author Name, Title, Submission Date, Email, Paper ID and Similarity, paginated if long. The similarity percentage is colour-coded so high matches stand out.

The Paper ID is the useful column to carry away. Anything that looks worth investigating can be looked up in full — including the original file and the similarity report — through search by paper ID.

Exporting

The button beside the results title saves the report as CSV. It contains the rows you are looking at, so set the institution, user and date range you actually want before exporting.

Reports cover one institution at a time. There is no all-institutions option here, so a consortium-wide picture means running each institution in turn and combining the CSVs. For headline totals across the whole consortium, the dashboard charts are the quicker route.
