Instructor dashboard Instructor
The Instructor Dashboard is the command centre for your teaching activity on DrillBit. It rolls up classes, assignments, students, and submissions, and surfaces trends that help you spot where to focus next.
Getting to the Dashboard
- Access the DrillBit application and sign in with your instructor credentials.
- Upon login you are directed to the dashboard by default.
8.1 Classes
Shows the number of classes you've created.
8.2 Assignments
Displays the total number of assignments you've created, active or inactive.
8.3 Students
Overview of students across your classes, including how many you created yourself versus how many were allocated to you by the admin. Helps you keep track of your roster at a glance.
8.4 Submissions
Summary of total documents submitted by students for review, split between submissions made directly by students and those allocated to you by the admin.
8.5 Top Students
Identifies the students with the lowest overall performance percentages based on submission data. The list shows four students with their names, departments, and averages.
A graph categorizes student counts into percentage ranges: 0-10%, 11-40%, 41-60%, 61-100%, and DocError.
8.6 Recent Submissions
Graph showing the five most recent student submissions (from the class interface or submissions interface). Each entry displays the student's name, similarity percentage, active/inactive status, and a review button that opens the submission report.
8.7 Submission Overview
Tracks monthly submission activity for students under your account, giving you a view of submission patterns across months. Download the month-wise graph as SVG, PNG, or CSV.
Year-wise view: analyse past years to spot trends, with the same SVG, PNG, or CSV download options via the dropdown on the graph.
8.8 Trend Analysis
Displays the percentage distribution of similar work versus own work across all submissions under your account. Export as SVG, PNG, or CSV from the hamburger menu.
8.9 Document Types
Pie chart of the types of documents submitted — thesis, dissertation, article, and others — so you can see the mix of work coming in. Downloadable as SVG, PNG, or CSV.
