Account security settings Instructor
DrillBit's security settings include Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for an extra layer of protection beyond your password. Enabling MFA takes less than a minute and significantly reduces the risk of unauthorized access to your account.
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
MFA adds an extra verification step at login. After entering your password, you'll need to enter a one-time password (OTP) sent to your registered email to complete the sign-in.
Steps to Enable MFA
- Log in to DrillBit.
- Navigate to Settings on the left sidebar.
- Find the Multi-Factor Authentication section.
- Toggle the switch to enable MFA.
- Confirm the pop-up: “Are you sure you want to activate Multi-Factor Authentication?” — select Yes.
Login Process After MFA
Enter your password as usual. DrillBit then emails an OTP to your registered address. Enter the OTP on the login page to finish signing in.
OTP lockout: after 3 consecutive incorrect OTP attempts, you'll need to log in again and request a fresh OTP. Make sure your registered email address is correct to avoid delivery issues.
Disabling MFA
To turn MFA off, return to the same settings section and toggle the switch off. Confirm “Are you sure you want to deactivate Multi-Factor Authentication?” with Yes.
