Managing repository Instructor

Whether you have individual documents on disk, a shared Google Drive, or batches zipped up, DrillBit gives you three upload paths for the repository — each tuned to a different workflow.

Uploading Files to the Repository

Click the + icon in the repository section to open the upload dialog. Three methods are available.

23.1 Upload from Device

Upload files stored on your local device. Click Browse your file here to select the file.

Step by step

Upload a Regional / Device file

Click +, select Regional, browse a file, fill in Author / Title / Year / Repository / Language, then Submit. The new entry shows up in the repository.

Provide:

Device upload limits:
  • Formats: .pdf, .doc, .docx
  • Up to 15 files at a time
  • Up to 800 pages per document
  • Max 100 MB per document

23.2 Upload from Google Drive

For cloud-stored documents — convenient across devices. Sign in to Google Drive first, then click Continue with Google Drive to choose files.

Step by step

Upload English / Google Drive / Zip

Pick English from the FAB menu, then switch between Upload File, Google Drive, and Zip tabs. Fill the metadata, choose Global or Institution, and Submit.

Google Drive upload limits:
  • Formats: .pdf, .doc, .docx
  • 1 file at a time
  • Up to 800 pages per document
  • Max 100 MB per document

Provide Author Name, Title, Year, Repository (Global or Institution), and Language, then click Submit.

23.3 Upload ZIP Files

Bulk upload using a .zip archive. Select the archive via Browse your ZIP here, then choose the Repository (Global or Institution) and Language of the documents.

ZIP upload limits:
  • Format: .zip only (containing .doc, .docx, .pdf files)
  • Not supported: .rar, .tar, .7z
  • Up to 100 documents per ZIP
  • Up to 800 pages per document
  • Max 100 MB per document

Click Submit to upload the ZIP file.
