Integrate DrillBit Plagiarism with Canvas using LTI 1.3. Choose between the LTI External Tool integration or the LTI Asset Processor and follow the relevant guides below.
LTI External Tool guides
Step 1 — Register the developer key in Canvas
As a Canvas super admin, create an LTI 1.3 developer key under Admin › Developer Keys, fill in the redirect, target, login and JWK URLs, enable the LTI Advantage services and configure the Submission Type Selection placement
Step 2 — Enable Canvas inside DrillBit
Log in to DrillBit, switch to the Admin role, open Integrations and submit the form with the Platform URL, Client ID, Auth, Access and JWK Set endpoints copied from Canvas
Step 3 — Install the DrillBit app in Canvas
From Site Admin › Settings › Apps, add a new app using the By Client ID configuration type, paste the client ID and repeat the installation inside each course where DrillBit should be available
Step 4 — Use DrillBit in Canvas assignments
As an instructor, create an assignment, choose DrillBit Tool in the Submission Type, then launch it in a new window so enrolled students can upload their documents through the connector
