Creating an institution Consortium Admin
Creating an Institution
Each member of your consortium is registered as its own institution with its own licence, its own administrator, and its own pool of users and submissions. This page covers adding one institution at a time. To register many at once, see creating institutions in bulk.
Opening the form
- Select Pro in the left-hand menu to open the licences page.
- Click the blue + button in the bottom-right corner.
- Choose Create Pro Account. The form opens as a panel on the right.
Filling in the form
The form has eighteen fields. Department is the only optional one — every other field must be completed before the account can be created.
About the institution
- Institution Name, State, Country and Address — where the institution is.
- Institution Type — pick from sixteen categories, covering central and state universities, deemed universities, institutes of national importance, IUCs of UGC, affiliated and autonomous colleges, and Others.
About the co-ordinator
The co-ordinator becomes the institution's administrator and receives the login credentials by email once the account is created.
- Co-ordinator Name, Email, Designation and Phone number are required.
- Department is optional.
Licence period and allocation
- Select start date and Select end date — the licence period. The end date cannot be later than your consortium’s own expiry date, shown on Account info.
- Users — how many user accounts the institution may create.
- Submissions — how many documents this institution may check.
- Document length (pages) — the page cap per submission. The choices are 1, 20, 200 and 400; 400 is the usual default.
- Update expiry date to all — YES or NO. YES applies the licence expiry date to every user inside the institution.
Administration
- Account manager — the person at your organisation responsible for this institution.
- Time Zone — chosen from the full time-zone list; set it to the institution's own zone so submission timestamps read correctly.
After creating the account
Click Create Account. The institution appears in the licences table straight away, and the co-ordinator receives an email with their credentials so they can sign in and start creating users.
Check the details before submitting. Anything you can set here can be edited afterwards from the licences table using the pencil icon, but the co-ordinator's credentials are emailed as soon as the account is created — so a wrong email address means the invitation goes to the wrong person.
