The Security section provides essential tools to help you safeguard your account. It includes two key features: Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and Change Password. Access these options by clicking the profile icon in the top-right corner and selecting "Security" from the dropdown menu.
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) adds an extra layer of protection to your account. Once enabled, you'll be required to enter a One-Time Password (OTP) sent to your email after logging in with your password.
To enable MFA:
Go to the Security section and toggle the switch to turn it on.
Once enabled, after entering your email and password, a page opens prompting you to enter the OTP sent to your registered email address.
Disabling MFA: Switch off the toggle in the Security section. A confirmation pop-up will appear saying: "Are you sure you want to deactivate Multi-Factor Authentication?". Select Yes to confirm and deactivate MFA.
Important tips for MFA: Make sure your registered email address is up to date to avoid issues receiving OTPs. After 3 consecutive incorrect OTP attempts, you'll need to log in again and request a new OTP.
Change password
To update your password, switch to the 'Change Password' tab. You'll be taken to a form with the following fields:
Enter Old Password: This is your current password - the one you use to log in. It's needed to verify it's really you trying to make the change.
Enter New Password: Type the new password you'd like to use going forward.
Enter Confirm Password: Re-type the new password exactly to ensure there are no typos.
After filling in all three fields, click Submit to update your password. You'll see a confirmation message once the change is successful. From now on, you'll use your new password to log in.
Tips for a strong password:
Use at least 8 characters
Include uppercase & lowercase letters
Add numbers and special characters (like @, #, $, etc.)
Forgot your current password? If you don't remember your existing password, head over to the "Forgot Password" option on the login page instead.
