Logging in Consortium Admin
Logging In
A consortium account signs in through the same door as everyone else — there is no separate consortium login page. What differs is where you end up.
Getting to the login page
- Go to www.drillbitplagiarismcheck.com.
- Click GET STARTED at the top right.
- Choose Institutional login. A consortium is an institutional account, not a personal one.
- Enter your Email Address and Password, then Sign In.
Your email address is the one shown as Username on the Account info page. The password is the one sent to you when the consortium was set up, unless you have changed it since.
Six wrong attempts locks the account for an hour. The lock is on the account, not the browser, so trying a different computer will not help and neither will waiting a minute. If you are not sure of the password, use Forgot password? on the second or third attempt rather than working through every password you can think of.
How to tell you are in the right place
A consortium login lands on the consortium dashboard. Two things confirm it:
- The left-hand menu reads Dashboard, Pro, Reports, Search, Support. An institution's admin account shows a different menu — Users, Repository, Integrations, Settings.
- Under your name at the top right, the small grey word says Consortium.
If that word says Admin or User, you are inside a Pro role rather than the consortium. That is not a login problem — the browser has remembered the role you were last in. Use Back to Consortium Dashboard from the profile menu, described in Switch roles.
The consortium login is not the institution login. Each institution you create has its own admin, with its own email and password, sent to that co-ordinator directly. Your consortium credentials will not sign you in to an institution's account, and theirs will not reach the consortium view. To see what an institution sees, switch roles instead.
If you cannot get in
- Wrong password — use Forgot password?, which sends a reset link to the same address you sign in with.
- Locked out — wait the hour, or reset the password, which clears it.
- Licence expired — check the Expiry Date on Account info. Once the consortium licence lapses the account stops being usable, and that needs a support ticket.
